Purcell Public Schools is thrilled to provide an update on the progress of our bond construction projects. We're seeing significant advancements across several key areas, all designed to enhance the learning environment and opportunities for our students.
New Ag Barn: A Hub for Agricultural Education 🚜
We extend a massive thank you to the Purcell Ag Boosters for their invaluable assistance in demolishing the old Ag Barn! Their hard work has paved the way for the exciting new facility. The new Ag Barn is tentatively scheduled to go out for bid through Goldsby Construction in July. This state-of-the-art facility will feature dedicated animal pens for cattle, sheep/goats, and pigs, providing our students with hands-on experience and expanded learning opportunities. We are incredibly excited about the growth of our Ag program and the numerous possibilities this new barn will unlock for our students.
Junior High FEMA Gym: Nearing Construction Kick-off 🏗️
Progress on the FEMA gym at the Junior High is moving steadily forward. The crucial dirt work is nearing completion, preparing the site for the commencement of construction. You'll notice the construction trailer, safety fencing, and a dedicated laydown area for materials have all been set up. We anticipate the impact beams will be installed over the next few weeks, marking another significant step in this important project.
Junior High/High School Parking Lot & Band Practice Pad: Design Advancing 🎶
The design phase for the new parking lot, strategically located north of the Junior High and east of the High School, is now at 65% completion in the design phase. We are actively collaborating with CWA and Mr. Hilger, Band Director, to determine the optimal orientation for this area to serve as a dedicated practice pad for our band. This will be a fantastic improvement, moving the band's practice area out of the main high school parking lot and providing them with a more suitable space. This project is also scheduled to go out for bid in July through Goldsby Construction.
We are grateful for the continued support of our community as these vital projects come to fruition. These advancements will undoubtedly create a more dynamic and effective learning environment for all Purcell Public Schools students.
