As we move into this time of year—a season traditionally marked by giving thanks—I want to take a moment to reflect on the blessings and the spirit of our remarkable community. It is no secret that education, like life, often brings unexpected challenges. Yet, in the midst of every hurdle, I am continually uplifted by the sheer resilience and positive energy that defines the Dragon community.

This year, there is so much to celebrate. On the physical front, our bond projects are making remarkable headway. We are seeing progress every day as the foundation for a safer, stronger future is literally being built. Demolition at the Elementary Gym site and the swift structural framing of the new High School FEMA Gym are tangible signs of progress and a testament to your commitment to our students’ security and learning environment.

More importantly, inside the classrooms and on the fields, our students are truly thriving. They are not just learning; they are exploring, experiencing, and achieving. Our students are gaining invaluable experiences through field trips, through local internships that forge career paths, through high-level academic and athletic competitions, and through a wide array of extra-curricular opportunities. These moments define their journey and prepare them for success beyond high school.

This spirit of success and support extends far beyond our campus boundaries and shines brightest during the holiday season. I want to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support you consistently show our district. Your generosity, particularly with donations to local food pantries and your participation in programs like Operation Christmas, is the purest example of the Dragon spirit—taking care of one another.

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your Superintendent. Thank you for your continued partnership, dedication, and trust. You are the foundation of our success.

It is always a blessing to serve you and be a Dragon.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sheli McAdoo
