Purcell Public Schools is excited to share the latest progress on our voter-approved bond projects! As construction continues across the district, we are building safer, stronger, and more modern facilities for our students and community. The following updates reflect the construction status as of the December 8, 2025, Board Meeting.
Junior High FEMA Gym
Construction on the new Junior High FEMA Gym is visibly progressing. This multi-purpose facility will serve as a gym and a critical storm shelter for our students and staff, plus the community during non-school hours. Recent work shows significant advancements on the main structure. Site work and roof prep are well underway, as evidenced by the laying of rebar and structural grids. We are working closely with our partners to keep this project moving forward, which will be a tremendous asset to the Junior High campus.

Elementary Gym Renovation & Storm Shelter
Progress continues on the Elementary Gym Renovation and Storm Shelter project. This project aims to update the existing gym while adding a vital, secure storm shelter in the form of four classrooms. Photos from the site reflect ongoing preparation and work necessary for both the renovation and the new shelter component.

Intermediate Storm Shelter
The new Intermediate Storm Shelter project is also moving forward. Our focus on safety means ensuring our Intermediate students have a safe and secure place to go during severe weather. Work is continuing to ensure this shelter, in the form of four additional classrooms, is ready for use as quickly as possible.

Two projects are currently awaiting permits- the Ag Barn and the new parking lot north of the Junior High. We appreciate the continued support and patience of our students, staff, and community as we build these essential facilities. We will continue to provide updates as these important projects move closer to completion!
