Please join me welcoming Carol to her new position.

Dear Dragon Family,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as your new Junior High Principal.  As many of you know, I have previously served in Purcell Public Schools as the High School Assistant Principal and District Athletic Director. Although, serving in this position the last 2 years has been rewarding, I am looking forward to serving the students, staff, and families of Purcell Junior High.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for 30 years. My academic background consists of a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma. The bulk of my time as an educator has been serving secondary age students from as young as 6th grade to as old as 12th grade. I have been fortunate to work in many different sized schools and feel that Purcell ISD is the perfect size. Our schools are large enough to provide our students many opportunities yet small enough to afford our students the individual attention necessary to support their needs.

I believe student academic achievement is paramount to our work as educators. However, in today's 21st century world, we must prepare our students to think both critically and creatively. Additionally, we must ensure our students are healthy, safe, engaged, challenged, and supported by qualified and caring adults. I will work alongside our staff, administration, and parents to provide our students these skills and knowledge that are vital to their long-term success in high school and beyond.

During my time in Purcell, I have observed our school administration, teachers, and staff working tirelessly to support our students. I have also observed our Dragon families continually supporting their students in our school. My belief is that all of these groups must work together in providing the best possible education and school experience for our children. Because the relationships between families and the school are critical to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to working with you. Feel free to contact me at any time at Testac@purcellps.org or by phone (405) 442-0099 Ext 504.

Proud to be a Dragon,

Carol Testa
