Learning is fun and we would like to share a night of learning with you! Please join us with your Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade student and FALL in Learning with us at PES on November 10th from 5:30-6:30, come and go. There will be Literacy, Math and S.T.E.M. games throughout the building upstairs. We will be serving pie in the cafeteria and PTO will have tattoos available. Come join us in the fun! This would be a great time to help us share of our hearts and bring in canned food items for our District Wide Food Drive. We are trying to break our goal of 1000 items this year! The Chick-fil-a truck will be here in the parking lot ready to provide dinner if you choose. This is not a fundraiser but a courtesy to your family. We hope you enjoy this Fall night at PES!

Is your child missing something? Have them stop by the lost and found and check. Please help us by putting your child’s name inside your their jackets and other items. This will help us return to the owner. 🐲❤️ Feel free to stop by Thursday night and check for items that might be yours. We will also have items set up in the counselors classroom that you can take.

Thank you for your patience during what we foresee to be a rainy drop off this morning and possibly this afternoon. For safety reasons, we will not unload and load students up top in rain or bad weather. Please pull directly in front of the building. Thank you! ☔️🌧♥️🐲❤️

Picture Retakes: November 3rd We will have picture retakes on November 3rd. These will be for anyone who was absent on the first picture day or anyone who wasn't satisfied with their first picture. These pictures are used for the yearbook!

Mrs. Franco hosted a Red Ribbon Week coloring contest last week as a fun way to help students celebrate being drug free and making healthy choices. Each class that participated got to vote on the top 2 choices from their class to be able to send down and submit into the coloring contest. A 1st and 2nd place winner were then chosen from each grade level K-2. Our first place winners were: Kindergarten-Brynlie Moore from Ms. Uhlenhake’s class, 1st grader-Makiah McAnally from Mrs. Brown’s class, and 2nd grader-Bryntley Duke from Mrs. Dobbin’s class. Our 2nd place winners were: Kindergartener-Kyler Montgomery from Ms. Uhlenhake’s class, 1st grader-Victoria Rangel from Mrs. Epperson’s class, and 2nd grader-Darsey Villegas from Mrs. Black’s class. Winners each got a Red Ribbon Week certificate, brag tag and pencil. Way to go little Dragons! 🐲❤️🥰

The ABSOLUTE best Disney characters of all! They support Little Dragons in all moments of every day. Today was fun for all. They are amazing and we love them so! ❤️🎃🐲❤️🎃🐲❤️🎃🐲

PES get ready!! Red Ribbon Week is next week, Oct 24th-28th and the theme is - Celebrate Life. Live Drug-Free. Please remember that costumes need to be kept at a minimum to ensure that students can remove them easily for bathroom trips, recess, and PE. Sending a change of clothes in their backpack is a good idea because students often tire of wearing their costumes all day. Thank you for helping us keep costumes to happy and friendly selections without blood, gore, or fright. Our theme at the elementary is Disney. Thank you for helping us celebrate Drug-Free week in a sweet, non-scary, fun way!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, is hat day! Hat Days are a fun way to celebrate and wear a hat to school as well as give back to our friends in need. Be creative or just have fun wearing your favorite hat while helping us support our school community! The money from hat day will go to support students that might be in need of a coat, backpack, and other items that support our students and classrooms. 🧢👒🎩🎓🪖⛑️ Thank you for your support!

Thank you to our AMAZING Purcell Fire Department for educating our little Dragons on fire safety today! It is so important for our students to know what to do in case there’s ever a fire. They had so much fun learning from our firemen and Sparky! 🚒🐲🧯🧑‍🚒❤️

Mc Teacher’s Night is back! Our local McDonald’s has been so supportive of our teachers and staff! They provided such a nice breakfast and now are opening back up Mc Teacher’s Night. This is where families can come and eat at McDonald’s, order online, order through the app, come through the drive-through, or come inside and dine. This event will take place on Tuesday, October 11th, from 5 pm -7 pm. Mc Donald’s will donate 20% of all sales from 5 pm-7 pm that day to our school plus 100% of all cookie sales and all cash donations to teacher buckets! We can’t wait to see you there!!
