Mr. Ray Samford’s Botany class spent the day getting their hands dirty and learning the ins and outs of repotting plants!
This isn't just a one-day lesson—each student will be responsible for their plant as a year-long project. Over the course of the school year, they’ll be tracking their plant's growth, managing watering schedules, changing out soil, and ensuring it gets the exact amount of sunlight it needs to thrive.

Dragons, we are heading into our first full week of the school year, and campus is buzzing with activity! From athletic fields to the stage, our students are stepping up and showing out.
Here is what’s happening around PHS this week:
🏈 Friday Night Lights: It’s time! Join us this Friday as Dragon Football kicks off the season for our very first game of the year! Let’s fill the stands and bring the noise!
📣 First Pep Rally of the Season: We’re bringing the energy Friday to get pumped for the game!
🥎 Fastpitch Softball: Our softball team is looking to stay hot and keep their momentum rolling—come out and support our Lady Dragons!
🎶 Choir Heading to OKC: A huge shoutout to our PHS Choir, who will be performing the National Anthem at the OKC Comets baseball game!
🤝 Club Meetings Kick Off: Several of our clubs and organizations are holding their first meetings of the year this week. Encourage your student to get involved and plug in!

To accommodate our pep rally, Friday will be our first Flex Schedule day of the year.
School still starts at 8:10 AM, but class period times—including lunch schedules—will be slightly adjusted.
