Dear Purcell Families,
We made it! As the final bells ring and the hallways quiet down, I want to take a moment to look back on what an incredible year it has been. From the first day of school to the final high-fives this week, our classrooms have been buzzing with new friendships, breakthrough learning moments, and endless opportunities.
Whether your student mastered a new skill, excelled in the arts, or cheered on their teammates, they’ve made our community proud. Thank you for partnering with us to make this school year one for the books!
I hope your summer is filled with sunshine, relaxation, and maybe a little bit of dirt under the fingernails. We can’t wait to see those refreshed, smiling faces back in August.
Have a safe and wonderful summer break!
Best,
Dr. Sheli McAdoo
Superintendent, Purcell Public Schools

Since joining our district in August 2023, Scott has consistently demonstrated outstanding dedication, professionalism, and service to our students and staff.
Many of you have likely seen Scott out at our campuses working hard to keep technology running smoothly and responding to support needs with efficiency. He is always willing to step in and help wherever needed, and his positive attitude, teamwork, and commitment to serving others make a difference across our district each day.
We are incredibly grateful for all Scott does to support our students, staff, and school community. Please join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved recognition! 🎉 🐉

🐉 🍎 Last week's Teacher Appreciation celebration reminded us once again how special the Purcell community truly is.
To our parents, families, businesses, organizations, and community members — thank you for the kindness, encouragement, meals, treats, notes, and support you showed our teachers last week. Your generosity and appreciation are treasured. Our teachers work tirelessly to serve students each day, and it was incredible to see our community pour back into them in such meaningful ways.
We also want to recognize and celebrate our Teachers of the Year, who were honored last week with a luncheon hosted by district administrators. Tonight, they were further recognized by Purcell Public Schools' Board of Education for their outstanding dedication, leadership, and impact on our students.
Thank you to all of our educators for the difference you make every single day. Thank you again to the Purcell community for supporting our schools and staff. 🍎 🐉

While the week is ending, our gratitude for our educators never does. To the mentors, the cheerleaders, the late-night graders, and the magic-makers: Thank you! You aren’t just teaching a curriculum; you are shaping the future of our community, one student at a time.
Happy Friday to the best teachers on the planet!

Teachers don’t just share facts; they share heart, wisdom, and the belief that every student can succeed. To the educators who stay late, arrive early, and never give up on us: Thank you for being the spark!

Purcell High School student Kaden Pliler performed at the Oklahoma State FFA Convention today, showcasing his incredible musical talent during a competition. Kaden consistently represents our school with excellence and continues to earn opportunities to perform at both the state and national levels.
We’re excited to see him shine today and can’t wait to watch where his talent takes him next. Way to go, Kaden!

We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate these outstanding educators who go above and beyond for our students every single day. Their dedication, passion, and commitment truly make a difference in our schools and community.
A special thank you to Purcell Rotary and President, Melissa Pruitt for recognizing our teachers and for their generous gift. Partnerships like this strengthen our schools and remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a supportive community.
Congratulations again to our Teachers of the Year and all of our staff during this Teacher Appreciation week—we are proud of you! 🐉

While our teachers make it look easy, we know the hours of prep, the late-night grading, and the constant thoughtfulness that goes into every lesson.
To our staff: You don’t just teach subjects; you build confidence and community. Thank you for the "invisible" work you do to make sure every student feels seen and supported.
