We are very thankful for all the meals and treats from our PTO this week for Teachers & Staff! It has been very appreciated! Such a GROOVY week! Tomorrow is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL and will wrap up the 2022-2023 school year! We are going to finish out with a FREE hat day tomorrow to celebrate so join us and wear your favorite hat for FREE! Remember tomorrow is parent picnic for Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades! Pack a simple lunch for you and your child and have lunch together- kindergarten will be in classrooms and outside for 1st and 2nd grade, weather permitting. There will be limited picnic tables so bring a blanket to ensure you have a place to sit. #DragonCARES🐲❤️🧺 Lunch times- Kindergarten 11:15-12:00 2nd Grade 11:30-12:15 1st Grade 12:15-1:00

Such a fun time celebrating with our Freedom Fun Run Donation winners today! Most Corporate Donations - Pizza with the Principal - Cora Cheatwood, Sawyer Creswell, Markee Jacks, & Kenley Creswell. Most Personal Donations - Pizza with the Principal - Cooper Brown, Jace Taylor, Jett Crossland, & Granger Davis. The bus ride was the best part and then pizza with the Principal! It was a bonus to get driven in style by Mrs. Jackie! 🚌Thank you all for contributing to our schools! 🐲❤️🍕

We have been working hard in 2nd grade this year on reading books and taking tests in Reading Counts! These students have read and tested on many books! These students all earned 50 points; LuC Thatcher, Killian Cox, Langston Womack, Adaleena Garver, & Brooklyn Sabatino. We had 2 students; Eli Killman and LuC Thatcher earning 75 points and then LuC went on to read and earn 100 points each to earn a BRAG TAG! That's hard work! 💪🏼🎉 Way to go Dragons!! We are so proud of you!🐲❤️ Thank you Mrs. Tyler for challenging them!

Thank you to the community of Purcell for your amazing support of our fundraiser! Our PTO did an amazing job managing this event and because of YOU, together with the Intermediate, last year we raised $9,714.94 and this year we raised $15,200.58!! WAY TO GO Dragons, Dragon Families & Purcell Businesses that continue to support our schools and students!! #DragonCARES 🐲❤️💪🎉 If you forgot to send your envelope in, you may still turn this in at the office. This money will go to support the Elementary and Intermediate Schools next year. We are all winners for participating. Today, the students in Ms. Franco's Kindergarten were so excited to welcome surprise guest readers Mrs. Schlotthauer and Ms. Schaumburg into their classroom as they read "Groovy Joe: Ice Cream & Dinosaurs" and "The Very Lonely Firefly". ❤️🐲📚

Ms. Aloway and Mrs. Wilkins first grade classes learned all about the human body this week. The students learned lots of fun facts about the body and how to keep it healthy! To conclude the week, they made human body vests with inflatable lungs. What a great week at PES!🐲❤️
