With Halloween already out in stores, we wanted to let parents know in advance about Red Ribbon Week in October. Our theme for Halloween dress-up this year is Book Characters! We can't wait to see which book character students pick to represent on October 29th!
Thank you for helping us guide our students with dress-up that is school appropriate, free of weapons, blood or vulgarity in nature. Dress-up needs to be able to handle school activities such as pe, recess and bathroom breaks.
We are looking forward to celebrating Red Ribbon Week and having fun with dress-up days!

Parents please help us keep students safe in the mornings by keeping students in your car until the doors open at 7:30. We understand that mornings can be a rush for everyone. Dropping students off with no supervision, is not safe.

We are so excited to be close to our goal of 1:1 iPads at the Elementary! We have grown this year and added another class of students to 2nd grade. iPads are expensive and often times need replaced. I received a surprising phone call from Curt Allison from Suddenlink of whom wanted to give back to our school. What a blessing to our students this will be!
Over the past year, Altice USA has pledged $1 million to support schools and student organizations in response to challenges imposed by COVID-19.
Suddenlink selected Purcell Elementary to receive 15 iPads as part of this donation. In addition to the iPad they provided our school with 450 composition books.
These device donations will increase student access to virtual classrooms opportunities, connectivity, and online curriculum and programs.

Curt also said that Suddenlink's recent upgrades in our area made them think of us and reminded them how important our community is to them.
