This young lady was sick the day we went to Mazzios as a donation winner and was such a trooper! She's feeling much better and had Mc Donald's with the Principal and got a bonus with her Teacher going too! Thank you Kenley Creswell for a special lunch! 🐲❤️🍟

Second graders got a chance to learn about water safety and got to have some fun in the water. 💦 Please be careful this summer when water activities are at their peek. 🏊Children should never get in the pool/water without an attentive adult present. 🛟 Be sure lifejackets/flotation devices are the accurate size and are worn correctly.🌊

Thanks to TSET and Healthy Schools Oklahoma, some of our kindergarten classes got to try out our new Take-home PE bags on our last virtual day. We appreciate having the opportunity to do this!!

Such a fun time celebrating with our Freedom Fun Run Donation winners today! Most Corporate & Personal Donations - Pizza with the Principal - Jett Crossland, Markee Jacks, Granger Davis, Kenley Creswell, Noah Northcutt, Ivy Northcutt, Cole Cook, Benjamin Blankenship & John Calvin Bowen. The bus ride was the best part and then pizza with the Principal! It was a bonus to get driven in style by Mrs. Jackie!

Our 2nd graders got to take a tour of the Intermediate school yesterday. They got to see where their 3rd grade classes would be, got to learn a little about how their day would go and a little about the different things they’d be doing next year, and hear all about the fun things they’d get to do in their specials rotations. A huge thank you to Mrs. Swayze, Mrs. Cook, and the intermediate staff for making this happen for our students. Getting a glimpse of what next year will look like and getting to become familiar with a few faces helps to ease our students worries and make the transition a little easier for them next year. Also a huge shout out to the Intermediate Student Council students for being so welcoming to our students and being the best greeters and tour guides. 🐉

Last day lunch change for parent picnic. If you are wanting a lunch from the cafeteria we will have ham sandwich, baby carrots, apple juice, & cookie. 🍎🥪🧃

May 2025 Freedom Fun Run We are thankful for all of the donations and the love and support given to our schools to support students! We couldn't do it without such a caring community! Thank you! In the gym, it takes 25 laps to equal a mile. We completed a few more laps than the money raised. Kindergarten ran/walked 2,963 laps, 1st grade ran/walked 3,253 laps, and 2nd grade ran/walked 3,908 laps, with a total of 10,124 laps ran/walked! How AWESOME!! Thank you, Veterans, for your service! ♥️🇺🇸 Our Freedom Fun Run was a huge success today!! 🎉 A huge thank you to all the parents, grandparents, friends, relatives, and local businesses who supported our school through this event. We are so grateful for your generosity, and we were honored to walk (and run!) in support of and in remembrance of our Veterans today. 🐲♥️🐲 Students had a blast, although we were indoors and were shocked at just how many laps they ran in the gym and/or cafeteria — way to go, Dragons! 🐉💪 A special shoutout to Jason Pruitt, Memorial Assembly of God, First Baptist Church, S&S Motors, and Landmark Church for donating water for all of our students — it was very much appreciated! ♥️🐲♥️ #DragonCARES Stay tuned — tomorrow we’ll be posting pictures of our donation winners and lap leaders! 📸🏅 Thank you again to the incredible Community of Purcell for your amazing support of our fundraiser! 🐲♥️

Today is our annual PTO Freedom Fun Run! We encourage your student to wear red, white, and blue in honor of our Veterans. It's also free hat day! We have contacted the National Weather Service and they have advised scattered storms possible for our area today. We will move to indoors at each site. Thank you for your understanding in keeping students safe.

May Faculty Spotlight! Please join us in celebrating three incredible ladies who are a true blessing to our students, staff, and families here at PES! Their hearts for teaching and service shine every day, and we are so thankful for them! 🐲❤️🍏 Mrs. Paige Brown has been teaching for 13 years—1 year in kindergarten, 11 years in first grade, and is now serving as a Reading Interventionist. When asked about her favorite school memory, she said, “I remember loving school as a kid! What’s not to love? My friends, nice teachers, the playground, and learning new things—it was the best!” She says she can’t live without her husband, her two beautiful daughters, and of course, a little iced coffee. Paige shares, “My joy comes from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He’s my hope and future, and I find freedom in Him.” Mrs. Kim Thompson has devoted 25 years to education, teaching kindergarten, first grade, and Reading Intervention. A favorite childhood memory of hers is attending stock shows. She says she can’t live without her fizz sticks from Arbonne, and her greatest joy comes from spending time with her family. Mrs. Amy Nemecek has dedicated 24 years to teaching—most of them also right here at Purcell! While she’s taught many grades, her heart has been in second grade, she's also taught PE and most recently as a Reading Interventionist. As a student, she loved playing basketball. She said she can't live without her family! She loves them very much, especially this new sweet grandson! And what brings her joy? Warm weather and days at the lake! These amazing ladies also lead our Mentoring Mondays at the elementary and are always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Thank you, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Thompson, and Mrs. Nemecek, for your dedication, love, and JOY! We appreciate all that you do!🍎🐲❤️
