We have been working in 1st & 2nd Grades on our sight words and these students have all learned 50 words, 100 words and a couple of them 250! Some of our 2nd graders have learned 475! Way to go 1st & 2nd Graders!! We are so proud of you!🐲❤️

Remember that Purcell Elementary is closed Nov. 22nd-Nov. 26th for Thanksgiving Break. We are so grateful for each of our families and thankful that you share your children with us each day. May you be blessed this week and enjoy time with family and friends giving thanks. A special shout out to our amazing cafeteria staff!! We had a head start on thanksgiving lunch on Friday at school and it was so wonderful! Mrs. Cathy and our cafeteria staff worked so hard to feed everyone such a nice meal and with pumpkin pie! The students and staff loved it! 🥧🦃❤️ We can’t wait to hear about all the memories students made over the break, when we return to school on Monday, Nov. 29th. We have been working in Kindergarten on our sight words and these students have all learned 25 words and a couple of them 50! Way to go Kindergarten!! Many of them were telling me their list they are going to work on this week during the break! Thank you for your hard work Kindergarten and thank you parents for practicing with them! Thank you so much for supporting our district food drive. Students enjoyed bringing items to give to others. Our goal was to get 1,000 items and we passed it!! We collected 1,295 items that we are donating from our school!! Way to go Little Dragons! Way to give from your hearts! Our top class was Ms. Uhlenhake's Class with 180 items! We are thanking them with a popsicle party this week. Each class also earned a Dragon CARES card. Thank you parents for helping us give back to our wonderful community! ♥️🐲🥫🥫🍯🍗
