Purcell High School and Purcell Public Schools were recognized for our Comprehensive School Wellness policy. PHS would like to thank Superintendent Dr. Sheil McAdoo and the Board of Education for their support of this effort. This effort is led by PHS students as part of our Youth Action Health Leadership (YAHL) program. This is funded through a TSET grant (Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement).
It helps raise awareness about key teenage health issues including anti-vaping, healthy food and drinking water, exercise for all students, and mental health wellness. PHS Senior Frankie Linker is our YAHL student leader and pictured below holding certificate.

Alexis Rojo is the son of Esteban and Maria Rojo. Alexis is a dedicated member of the Dragon Basketball team. His favorite class is pre-engineering at Mid America VoTech, and has big plans to attend OU to study civil engineering after graduation. We're excited to see what the future hold for you, Alex!

What a great night to be a Dragon as we celebrated our seniors with two big wins over Pauls Valley. A special thanks and recognition to our seniors and their families. We are thankful for all you have done for our school! One of my favorite moments was seeing so many of our future dragons attending the game and cheering and supporting our teams. It's a reminder to our students what an important role they play as mentors and role models. These senior classes have exceeded those expectations!
We would also like to recognize Leilani Hartleroad and Landon Ward for their amazing rendition of our National Anthem. Our cheerleaders and drumline were tremendous as always leading our fans and school spirit. A huge shout-out to our student section who have been the absolute best this season. And to Pride the Dragon who apparently has learned some dance moves recently!
Go Dragons!

Something as simple as offering a word of encouragement to a friend or colleague or asking if they need help can make all the difference in someone's day. Be the difference.
