We are thrilled to announce the addition of Kenzie Hay to the PHS staff. Kenzie will serve as a special education teacher. She is originally from Colorado and attended SWOSU on a rodeo scholarship. Her and her husband Kyle live in Purcell and Kenzie currently works at Purcell Intermediate School. She will officially join our staff on January 2nd. Welcome to the high school Kenzie!

A huge thanks to Mariah and Nathan Mullins from Lighthouse Worship Center for providing coffee and donuts to our staff this morning during our staff celebrations. They also held a prize drawing and Emma Rolin was our lucky winner. Thank you for your support of our teachers!

We had a chance to honor a Dragon great today. Congrats Greg Dillard. PHS Staff Member of the month. Thank you Jason Bridwell of State Farm for sponsoring.
Here is what a fellow colleague wrote about Greg:
Greg has a positive attitude every day. I see him in the hall greeting students, jokingly giving them a hard time, and jumping out to scare them, etc. His demeanor with students shows that he cares about each of them. He also cares enough about them to correct them when they misbehave. As a teacher this is a difficult balance to keep. I respect, appreciate, and admire him as a valuable resource to our school.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, all of tonight's basketball games at Pauls Valley have been cancelled. We will keep you updated with the make up date.

As proud as we are of both our basketball teams winning championships last weekend, we are equally proud of Purcell players, coaches, and fans winning the sportsmanship award. We are also grateful for the large number of fans who made the long trip to Madill to support our teams!

HS/JH Archery Teams had a great day shooting last week as they prepare for competitions. Erica Keen teaches our Wildlife Management class which includes our archery teams. This is the first year for this program and offers another opportunity for students to be engaged!

Thank you Purcell High School Band for a wonderful Christmas Concert this afternoon. We are very proud of our talented students! A special thanks to our Band parents and supporters who do so much for the program. We loved the "Twas the Night Before Christmas" addition!
