Congratulations to Purcell Senior Hudson Andrews who is a finalist for Central Area Vice-President and State FFA officer position. This is a tremendous recognition and reflects Hudson's leadership and character.

April teachers computer science and serves as our National Honor Society and TSA sponsor. April is such a valuable asset to our staff & students. She is the model employee who seeks to serve others and help improve the lives of our students. She is very skilled at embedding her lessons with relevant skills that students need. April always has a smile on her face and is ready to help any and everyone she can. This includes students and staff alike. I hear her hard at work teaching every single hour and engaging kids in her technology classes in an effective way. Purcell FFA put on a great Local Show this afternoon at the McClain County Fairgrounds. It's such a pleasure watching the hard work of our students. Thank you to our amazing FFA boosters and parents. We are also thankful for the hard work and leadership of PHS Agricultural Education teacher Erica Keen and Ashlyn Ahlgrim, PHS Agricultural Education student teacher.

Basketball playoffs start next week. The Dragons will travel to Ada for districts on Friday the 21st. Girls game will start at 6pm and boys will start at 730pm. Please see attached playoff brackets, and bag policy for Ada High School. Go Dragons!
It's almost Soccer Season! Meet the teams and coaches this Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the Reimer Center. We are excited for our second season of varsity soccer!
Purcell High School and Purcell Public Schools were recognized for our Comprehensive School Wellness policy. PHS would like to thank Superintendent Dr. Sheil McAdoo and the Board of Education for their support of this effort. This effort is led by PHS students as part of our Youth Action Health Leadership (YAHL) program. This is funded through a TSET grant (Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement).
It helps raise awareness about key teenage health issues including anti-vaping, healthy food and drinking water, exercise for all students, and mental health wellness. PHS Senior Frankie Linker is our YAHL student leader and pictured below holding certificate.

Purcell Esports Rocket League Team started their season yesterday losing 3-0 to a tough Edmond Memorial squad. Our Rocket League team consists of Brody Anderson, Brody Thurston, and Greyson Lester. We are excited for the start of the spring season.
Due to the incoming weather, the basketball games at Lindsay on 2/18 have been moved to Monday 2/17.
