
Great job PHS Cross-Country. Over 350 athletes participated from grades 4-12. PHS boys finished 5th led by sophomore standout Erick Suarez. Girls were led by freshman Alyssa MacArthur. All Dragon times have improved from last year. Go Dragons




Ray Samford's Horticulture Class takes advantage of a beautiful late August day to practice plant identification. If I would have had this class I wouldn't have to pay for the app on my phone! Learning can occur anywhere and outside classrooms are great ways to engage students.


It's game week this Friday as Dragon Football travels to Alva. Our cheerleaders have been busy building school spirit. We appreciate the work of this team and coach Rachel Barnett. They are doing great work this year!




PHS Softball defeats Lexington 6-0 on the road tonight. Great job ladies and proud of this group for battling through early adversity this season. They are back in action Thursday-Saturday @ Plainview Tournament. Come watch them play!





Congratulations to PHS Softball with a 9-3 victory tonight over Little Axe. JV earning a win as well tonight. Lady Dragons are back in action tomorrow evening with a varsity only game @ Lexington @ 6PM. Go Dragons!

What a great night at Conger. Anadarko and Bethel came to town to battle with the Dragons. We travel this Friday to Alva for the opening game of the season. Kickoff will be at 7.





We are thrilled to announce PHS Freshman Kaden Pliler has been accepted to the National FFA Chorus as a tenor. This tremendous honor was announced today by the National FFA organization. We are very proud of this talented young man. Go Dragons!


Today was a wonderful reminder of the good that happens everyday in a school. PHS staff and students showed their respect for our custodian Marvin Fields. He is moving and today is his last day after 20 years of service. We love you Marvin and thank you for your service.





Meaningful learning experiences can happen through partnerships with our community. Ag 1 class learned about prep-checking cows today. Brent Lynn brought his ultrasound machine and taught them how to identify open and bred cows. He is a great contributor to PHS and our students.




It's FOOTBALL TIME IN PURCELL!! Tomorrow night, the Dragons will scrimmage against Anadarko and Bethel at Conger Field. Scrimmage starts at 6. Last chance to see the Dragons before opening night in Alva.

Cross Country season kicks off for your Purcell Dragons this Tuesday, August 23 at 4:30 PM. We will be racing at Purcell Intermediate school. We will have refreshments, free admission, and a Kona Ice truck there to enjoy. We would love to see you there! Go Dragons!

What a great night at Conger Field. Last night, our football team held their Red/White Scrimmage. The team is preparing hard for opening night. The football team is back in action this Friday at home in a scrimmage vs Anadarko. Scrimmage starts at 6.





Dragons win! Big night in the circle for Ella Resendiz with 14Ks. Hannah Whitaker had an RBI double and also scoring later that inning. Lady Dragons play again tomorrow at Latta. Game time has been moved to 4.
