Let's make this athletic school year a great one for everyone! 📣
A friendly reminder to all spectators that we're committed to providing a positive and educational environment for our student-athletes. Athletics are a vital part of the learning experience, and your support is a crucial part of that.
Remember to follow the Board of Education Policy FMFE, the Spectator Code of Conduct:
Display good sportsmanship by being modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
Direct your energies to encouraging your team rather than booing the officials.
Accept the judgment of the coach.
Realize that obscene cheers, littering, throwing of objects, and verbal indignities directed toward athletes, spectators, or officials have no place in school athletics. (Full Code of Conduct in graphic)
Let's model the behavior we want to see in our athletes. By working together, we can ensure a fun, safe, and positive experience for all participants. Thank you for your support and cooperation!

This first full week of school has been a great reminder of how fortunate we are to have so many dedicated, caring, and skilled teachers at Purcell High School. 🐉
While the news & social media often focuses on the negative in schools, what we see every day in our classrooms is a team of professionals who care deeply about student learning and building strong relationships with teenagers. This is what truly makes a difference in their lives.
A huge shout-out to our incredible teachers, including this awesome group from rooms our admin teams visited this week:
Matt Lohn ( algebra 1), Krysta Matthews (algebra 2), Michael O'Neal (calculus & trig)
And a big thanks to our teaching assistants Susan Bennett and Tammy King.
Go teachers! 👏
