Nothing better than opening our first Football Friday with our football players and cheerleaders welcoming our intermediate and elementary students. It also looks like Pride the Dragon has grown a few inches since I last saw him. Thank you Purcell Elementary and Intermediate Schools for having us. Dragon Pride!

Esports programs are so much more than play and recreation. Students build critical 21st Century job skills such as communication, strategic planning, critical thinking, and teamwork. Most importantly, it provides students who may not have an interest in traditional sports or extracurricular activities, a platform to develop these important skills.
Last week, Purcell Esports assessed the students' abilities in teamwork, communication, skill, strategizing, and game-based learning. We experimented with various student combinations in semi-competitive matches, ensuring a lot of fun along the way. The students primarily engaged in Rocket League, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros. Competitions will start later this month.
