Cole Sharp's 4th hour Okla History is our PHS Class of the Week. I observed the class dive into great small group discussions over the Trail of Tears and Indian Removals yesterday. An example of the importance of students understanding the connections between past and present.

It was a beautiful early fall morning for students to gather at the pole this morning for fellowship. Thankful for our school and community mentors who serve and guide our young people. And they brought donuts!

I'm thrilled to see the revival of Choir @ PHS & PJHS. The loss of choir was a consequence of Covid. Cindy Donaldson, our new choir teacher, has breathed life into this program in a few short months. Choir and all fine arts programs are a critical part of high school.

Best of luck to PHS Lady Dragons Softball as they open regional play tomorrow at 2 PM vs. Alva @ Washington HS. Please go support this exciting team. They have had a great season and NEED YOUR SUPPORT! And they are just a great bunch of student-athletes. Go Dragons!

As we recognize National Hispanic Heritage Month I'd like to spotlight the amazing work of our PHS Spanish Club. They currently have over 100 members and have contributed to several school improvement initiatives including purchasing microwaves and library books. They will be volunteering soon at public library as part of Heritage Month. Go Dragons!

Sophomore running back Boston Knowles had a big night in the Dragons 51-6 win over Lex (279 total yards and 4 TDS) but he smartly recognized his offensive linemen with donuts this morning. Love this!
Go Dragons!
