Mrs. Jones and her fifth grade students went on a nature walk identifying different types of matter and journaling their observations!
This week, third grade has been reading the story "The Dream Catcher." In Ms. Windham's class, the students learned about the Ojibwe culture and how to create their own dream catcher the way the main character, Peter, did in their story! Also, they used various manipulatives during math rotations to practice new rounding and place value skills.

Mrs. Frankenberg's third grade class had the honor of listening to a Purcell High School senior read aloud an accurate Ag book. Hudson Andrews is apart of the Ag Youth Council with the Oklahoma Department of Farm and Forestry. He partnered up with #okagclassroom and Mrs. Frankenberg's class was able to experience this wonderful opportunity! Thank you Hudson!

Jan Marie Long, from the Women's Leadership Committee, read to Mrs. Arnold's 5th grade Social Studies class. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture and the women's leadership committee have joined forces to provide agricultural books to schools across our state. Miss Windham's third grade class created their own (safe) volcanoes in science after reading the book "My Mouth is a Volcano!" They learned how to safely conduct an experiment, worked collaboratively, problem solved, and learned a great lesson about controlling what and when we say something!

This week in PE, we worked on striking an object with control, moving our feet to the ball, and cooperation! Students worked in pairs to strike a ball back and forth as many times as they could. Fifth graders, Tripp Webb and Shawk Tyler, scored a record high of 228! We used the skill of striking in two playground favorites, 4-square and gaga ball! #perocks #dragonpride #striking
