Here's a look into Mrs. Austin's third grade class this week! They worked on comparing and contrasting one of their stories, as well as playing Bump It Fractions.





Thank you, Adam and Nancy from Missoula, for speaking to our fifth grade students about theater. Everyone had the opportunity to participate in a short improvisation called the Princess and the Pea. What an excellent way to introduce the art of drama to our intermediate dragons! 🎭 🎶


Missoula Children’s Theatre to present “Aladdin” on March 24th & 25th
Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of “Aladdin” Monday, March 20th, at 3:30 p.m. and end by 5:30 p.m.
Those auditioning should arrive at 3:30 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.
No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
“Aladdin” will be presented:
-Friday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m.
-Saturday, March 25 at 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: the old Purcell Junior High Auditorium, 201 Lester Lane.
PRICE: adults $10, children $5.
*A DVD of the performance will be offered for purchase.
Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, and props. The MCT tour actors/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week each day.
Students enrolled in grades kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to audition.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Purcell is presented locally through Purcell Schools with support from the Purcell School Foundation.
Students enrolled in grades kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to audition. Students from surrounding schools may audition for a fee of $25 which is refundable if the student is not cast.

If students are cast they would have Monday practice from 5:45-7:45 at the same location.
Tuesday through Thursday practice times are 3:30-5:30 and 5:45-7:45 (15 min break)
Friday Dress rehearsal 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Friday lunch 12:30 - 1:00
Friday performance 1:00-2:00
Saturday performance 3:00-4:00

Here is a look into Ms. Greenlee's class this week! They have been learning different ways to find the product of a multiplication problem and also learning about the life cycle of chicks!








Third grade enjoyed having Mrs. Laura Vandaveer at school today to teach about the life cycle of chicks. They got to see the candle lighting process!

Thank you, RN Teri Spain from the Chickasaw Nation, for sharing a CPR demonstration and heart information with our 3rd and 4th grade students! This was the perfect culminating activity to celebrate Heart Health Month!




Attention 5th Graders!!! We are having our Winter Wonderland Party this Friday from 5-7pm!

We are wrapping up our jumprope unit in PE, but we will continue doing the Endurance Challenge for the rest of the school year! It's been so cool to watch students learn how to jump rope for the first time to doing tricks to making the 1/2/3 Minute Club!

Reminder, students will not be in school on Monday, February 20th. Monday is a scheduled, professional development day for staff. Classes will resume Tuesday, February 21st.
