Our March Madness Step Challenge winners attended the Heart of Oklahoma baseball tournament hosted by Purcell High School on Thursday. We would like to give a shout-out to Char Page and Felicia Salinas for donating popcorn, drinks, and candy from the concession stand. Our fifth grade Dragons took a tour of the new junior high yesterday! The new principal, Dr. Carol Testa visited with them and got them excited about coming to the new junior high! Congratulations to Coach Knowles for being HSOK’s runner-up in the March Madness Step Challenge! She got 519,220 steps in 9 days and received a trophy, yard sign, and gift certificate to Chicken and Pickle!
Our intermediate students also participated in a March Madness Step Challenge in PE. They tracked their own steps using pedometers provided by HSOK. Grade level winners are Mrs. Raper’s 5th grade class, Mrs. Craig’s 4th grade class, and Ms. Greenlee’s 3rd grade class.
