We are so excited to welcome our Dragons back to school tomorrow! If you are a bus rider, check out our reminders for bus rider safety and see our transportation page on the school's website for more info.
*Be to your assigned bus stop at least 5 mins early. (Be patient tomorrow as the bus reaches you safely and stay warm at the bus stop!)
*Keep away from the "danger zone" which is the 10ft around the bus.
*Wait until the bus is completely stopped and doors open to approach the bus.
*Be mindful of your surroundings at school bus stops. Other vehicles, properties, etc.
*Obey all school bus rules.

While we know everyone is eager to get back to class, many of our district’s secondary roads and rural routes remain slick and unsafe for travel. The safety of our students and staff is our #1 priority.

When ordering be sure to include your student's name, grade, and homeroom teacher in the notes section of your order. Orders will be delivered by PTO on or around Feb 16th.

A huge thank you goes out to our transportation, maintenance, and custodial staff at Purcell Public Schools for their hard work preparing our buildings for students and staff to return after the winter storm and checking to ensure routes are safe. Your dedication and behind-the-scenes efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for all you do to keep our schools safe and ready.

Due to the ongoing impacts of the winter storm, Purcell PS and all offices will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th for a snow day.

🚨 POSTPONEMENT NOTICE

Purcell Public Schools has partnered with Wayne, Whitebead, and Pauls Valley Public Schools to launch the Central Oklahoma Regional Educator Hub (C.O.R.E.). This innovative teacher apprentice program offers a meaningful pathway for staff to earn a bachelor’s degree and become certified teachers through on-the-job training—while continuing to serve the communities they know and love. The initiative is sponsored by OPSRC in partnership with Edwell.
We proudly celebrated this milestone by hosting a kickoff luncheon for our inaugural cohort. This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to growing our own educators and strengthening public education across our region. C.O.R.E. represents a meaningful investment in our staff and districts. We look forward to its lasting impact on our communities.
