After a thrilling win last night, both the boys and girls will be playing tonight in the OSSAA Area Tournament. The girls will be playing at 1:30 vs Lone Grove. The boys will be playing for the Area Championship tonight at 7:30. They will be facing Prague. The boys and girls will be in different sessions today. This will require two different tickets if you are going to both games. Attached are the QR codes for both sessions. If you are unable to make the games today, there are also QR codes to stream both the girls and boys games from home. Let's cheer on our basketball teams, as they make the push to punch their ticket to state. Go Dragons!

During Bus Driver Appreciation Week, we would like to extend a special thanks to Janel Marel, our transportation director. She organizes and makes sure our bus drivers have what they need for routes daily.


Join us this week in celebrating our dedicated, Purcell Schools bus drivers. All of our drivers go the extra mile to make sure that our students are safe. We know that we couldn't do it without them. Next time you see one of our yellow buses, give the driver a wave!

Reminder, students will not be in school on Monday, February 20th. Monday is a scheduled, professional development day for staff. Classes will resume Tuesday, February 21st.


Dragon Parents, our network was restored early this morning. Phones are working at our schools.

Meet and greet with Aaron Dillard. Coach Dillard will be introduced, make a few remarks, and then meet informally with players, parents, and Dragon football supporters.

Purcell Public Schools will have a Professional Development Day on February 20th. We are looking forward to learning together and spending professional time with colleagues. Students will not attend school that day.

Tonight we honored and recognized Coach Paul “Wolly” Wollenberg for his 26 years of coaching Purcell Athletics. In his tenure, Coach Wolly has coached junior high and high schools girls basketball, fastpitch and slowpitch softball. As well as junior high and high school boys football, basketball, and baseball. Thank you Coach Wollenberg for your dedication to Purcell and Purcell Athletics.
