Big shout out to our PHS and PJH band students (Mr. Hilger and Mr. Tuttle)!! Our students competed in SWOBDA against 1200+ other students from the region. We had 31 students audition and the following students made the SWOBDA Honor Bands:
High School Band:
Allison Schlotthauer (SR)- 6 year member & qualified for 2nd round All-State
Zoey Leatherman (SR)-6 year member
Abbygail King (SO)
Junior HIgh Band:
Kenna Lee- 8th grade
Emma Schlotthauer- 7th grade

Congratulations to PHS Cheer for qualifying for STATE @ Gameday Regionals on Saturday. The cheerleaders and coaches have been working so hard this year. We are very proud of you! Their performanace at state will be at 2:50 at Moore High. Go Dragons!


Tomorrow, November 8th, you can make a difference for public schools by exercising your right to vote. Learn what the candidates are about and the possible impacts to public schools across the state and rural schools in particular. Your vote matters!


The combined Purcell JH and HS choirs will present their Country Comedy Hour tomorrow, Nov. 6th at 3:00 in the auditorium at the old JH. Admission is $5 for adults and students are free. Be ready to sing along to some country music and laugh at some country humor. Doors open at 2:30PM. Come join us!

This past Friday, we celebrated the 1972 Purcell State Championship Football Team. Purcell PS presented to the team a Purcell PS Board of Education Resolution honoring the team. City Council Member Theda Engert presented the team with a Proclamation from the City Purcell naming October 28th "Purcell High School Dragons Football 1972 Class A State Football Champions Day". She also presented the proclamation to Superintendent Sheli McAdoo and Athletic Director Rick Hammer.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special for our 1972 Championship Football Team. "Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon."
