If a parent/guardian completes a free or reduced-price meal application in July or August 2022 and that meal application is approved for free or reduced-price meals, they will be eligible for Summer 2022 P-EBT benefits retroactively when pick-up files are sent to DHS in October. This will only apply to Summer 2022 benefits. If you have not completed a meal benefits application, you may do so through Infinite Campus Parent portal. If you need assistance with getting a Parent Portal, please contact your child’s school.

Registration for the Oklahoma Math Tutoring Corps is now open for Oklahoma students in grades 7, 8 or 9. Oklahoma State Department of Education is providing a math tutoring program for students in the 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. This high-dosage tutoring program provides 50-minute virtual tutoring sessions three times a week in groups of no more than four students. Students must be registered by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9. Go to sde.ok.gov/math-tutoring-corps to find out more and register!

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps households with costs for broadband access. Under this program, eligible households might be eligible for up to a $30 a month discount for internet service, up to a $75 a month discount for households on tribal lands and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. ​This might be of particular interest to you as households with participants in the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (among other programs and criteria) are eligible for these important benefits that support access to broadband for those in need. The Purcell JOM Indian Parent Committee meets Thursday, July 28 at 12pm in the administration building (919 1/2 N. 9th). The meeting is open to the public. We will be discussing back to school activities and projects for the year.
