A huge THANK YOU to the incredible OCCC nursing students! 💙 Thanks to your passion, energy, and knowledge, our annual Health Fair was fantastic! Our students had a blast rotating through your stations and learning valuable lessons about: 🪖 Helmet and Street Safety 🚸 🦷 Dental hygiene 😴 Good Bedtime Routines 💬 Bullying 🧼 Germ prevention 🥦 Healthy eating 🧴 Personal hygiene 🏃 Staying active You made a lasting impact teaching our little Dragons healthy habits they’ll carry with them for life. We are so grateful for your time!

🥅⚽️Our elementary students have been working on their footwork, ball control, and refining their soccer skills. ⚽️🥅 🛣️🚷This week we also combined it with a lesson on “street smarts.” They practiced recognizing some common street signs and what they mean. They also practiced how and where to cross a street safely. 🛑⚠️🚸🚦

What a beautiful day for the 2025 Dragon Homecoming Parade! ☀️🐲🎉 From the incredible floats that took everyone back to their childhood—Game ON! 🎮✨—to our students, players, cheerleaders, band, and even our Teachers of the Year, it was a celebration to remember! A special honor goes to our Grand Marshal, Mr. Clarry, who led the way with Dragon pride. Our Kindergarten Dragons have been diving into their community workers unit this week! 🐲✨ Today they had a blast making community worker treats for snack time. 🚔🍪🚦🚒 Mrs. Haynes’ class also made a special poster to celebrate what they’ve learned and to say thank you to our SRO, Officer Salgado. 💙👮🏻‍♂️ We love seeing our Little Dragons learn, create, and show appreciation! 🙌🏼🐲❤️

Hat Days are a fun way to celebrate and wear a hat to school, as well as give back to our friends in need. Be creative or just have fun wearing your favorite hat while helping us support our school community! The money from hat day will go to support students who might need a coat, backpack, and other items that support our students and classrooms. Thank you for your support!

Our students taste-tested a healthy drink: watermelon + cucumber + water 🥒🍉💧. The best part? The cucumbers came straight from our very own elementary school garden! 🌱🪏👩‍🌾 The votes were mixed, but most gave it a big thumbs up 👍. Proud of our kids for trying something new and fueling their bodies the healthy way! 💪🥹

We are welcoming donations of kids clothes for our Little Dragons. Thank you for supporting our students!

🌟 Shoutout to Drew Rolin! 🌟 We are so thankful for the amazing work Drew did cleaning and painting our parking lots! Thanks to his efforts, our lots are looking fresh, clean, and safe for our students, staff, and families. Even more special, Drew is a former Dragon himself and now has two little Dragons attending PES! 🐲❤️🙌🏼🎉 We are grateful for your continued support of our school community, Drew—thank you!

Today our Pre-K classes enjoyed our guest reader and author, Mattie Carlile, with the Oklahoma Pork Council. She read her book titled, "It Takes a Team! Pigs and Their Caretakers". What a fun experience to hear from an author! Thanks to Matti and her Nana, Zara Allen, for sharing your love of reading with our classes.

👮🏻‍♂️Today, our new SRO, Officer Salgado, visited each class to introduce himself to our students! We missed two classes that we will catch next week. Mrs. Stone shared about the important safety that Officer Salgado provides at our school, along with the Purcell Police Department 🚔. Students learned about the safety equipment Officer Salgado wears to help keep us safe, and we even talked about ways to say hello when we see him in the halls 👋. We are so thankful for the protection and support he provides for our students and staff. A huge thank you to Purcell Schools and the City of Purcell for making this awesome grant opportunity possible and investing in the safety of our Dragons ❤️🐉!
