We have an upcoming bond election in August! The new bond website is up and running. I hope you have a minute to check it out! We are super excited about the positive impact this will have on our students, teachers, and families of the Purcell community! Bond Website - https://www.purcellps.org/page/bond Just to remind you, the bond vote is on August 27, 2024, which is right around the corner. DRAGON STRONG: 2024 STUDENT INVESTMENT PLAN-NO TAX INCREASE BOND PROPOSAL. If you could help remind anyone you know to register to vote, it would be greatly appreciated! Approving a bond requires a supermajority of 60%. A video was created and will be uploaded upon its finalization. We cannot wait for all that's hopeful to come for Purcell Public Schools and all our Dragon Families!

Purcell Elementary 2024-2025 School Supply List

Applications are open now for United Way of Norman’s Stuff the Bus School Supply Program. This program distributes free school supplies to low-to-moderate-income families in Norman, Noble, Blanchard, Dibble, Little Axe, Lexington, Newcastle, Purcell, Robin Hill, and Wayne. Families with students in Pre-K through 12th grade are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is July 26. 🔗 https://www.unitedwaynorman.org/schoolsupplies

Summer School starts today for those students who are registered. Purcell Elementary & Intermediate doors will open at 8:30 and student pickup at 12:00. Students will be offered breakfast and lunch. ♥️🐲

Last day thankful hearts! Today was bitter sweet. We love each of our Little Dragons and all of our Teachers and Staff! May each of you have an amazing Summer and we hope you will come visit if you are moving on to 3rd grade or other places. Many blessings to each of you! I am so thankful for our community and the people that no one knows about or sees step up when someone is in need. A special shout out today to Sloan's Tires. ❤️❤️❤️ We had a family in need and they helped out so much! Also thank you to our staff for assisting. And thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Yeary for allowing us to use your driveway. It takes a village but this village cares for one another and we're proud to be a part of it!🐲❤️

Kindergarten had a SUPER fun day at super kids day that our amazing PTO and volunteers put on!! Thank you so much for all y'all do!! Our PTO rocks!!

We can't believe tomorrow is the LAST Day of School! We have enjoyed learning and growing this year together! Enjoy Summer! I will send a Summer newsletter out on Monday with the Summer Reading Challenge as well as other Summer Reading opportunities! Parent Picnic times: Kindergarten 10:45-11:30 (Senior Walk Through is at 10:30 so please remain in your car until you see the Senior bus has pulled out of the drive. Thank you!) 2nd Grade 11:30-12:15 1st Grade 12:15-1:00 Summer Feeding will begin on Monday in the Elementary Cafeteria. We will serve breakfast and lunch. Please see the attached letter from Dr. McAdoo for more information. I have attached the menu for the remainder of May. All Elementary and Intermediate students will need to be accompanied by an adult. Thank you!

Such a fun time celebrating with our Freedom Fun Run Donation winners today! Most Corporate Personal Donations - Pizza with the Principal - Elizabeth Bucks, Sawyer Creswell, Markee Jacks, Jett Crossland, Campbell Cunningham, Drew Gulledge, Memphis Leverett & Audri Lukens. The bus ride was the best part and then pizza with the Principal! It was a bonus to get driven in style by Mrs. Jackie! 🚌Thank you all for contributing to our schools! 🐲❤️🍕
