National Injury Prevention Day on November 18th highlights injuries and violence as leading causes of death for ages 1 to 44. It raises awareness about preventable injuries and encourages communities to adopt safety education and strategies for safer environments. Let’s work together to reduce injury and violence risks! #InjuryPreventionDay

Thank you all so much for giving to our food drive last week! The food collected will go directly back to families in our schools for holiday meal baskets. We collected 750 items for our food drive this year. Our winning class with the most items collected of 122 items was Ms. Franco's kindergarten class, and they got to celebrate with a popsicle party! Again, your continued support of our school and our students is such a blessing. #dragonCARES

We want to express a sincere THANK YOU to all of our donors that will make it possible to provide 55 Purcell Schools families with a Thanksgiving food basket. Some donors gave food and some donated gift cards or gave a $$ donation. The support from our community along with school food drives has been such a blessing. We could not do it without all of you!

More of the Veterans Day pictures.
🇺🇸❤️ Today in PE, students learned all about what it means to be a Veteran and discovered the different branches of military service! Mrs. Wilkins planned fun, hands-on activities that helped students not only learn about Veterans but also work together as a team—just like our service members do! 💪🇺🇸
We are so proud of our Little Dragons for showing teamwork, respect, and appreciation for those who have served our country! ❤️🤍💙

A couple of weeks ago we sent home the yearbook flyers from the company that included instructions for ordering a yearbook.... Turns out, the link on that flyer does not work. We apologize! Please use the link below and it should take you directly to the page for ordering.

🤒 Too Sick for School? 💚
Parents, just a friendly reminder — if your child goes home throwing up or with a fever, they must be fever-free and medicine-free for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
Thank you for helping us follow this important policy! 💪 This helps keep our classrooms healthy and learning strong for everyone. 🏫✨
📸 See the image below for more guidance on when a child may be too sick for school.

It is HAPPENING!! The fences are up and now the walls are coming down! Eeeeek!! Yay!! We can't wait for our new gym to be up and ready for our little Dragons! 🎉 ❤️🐲❤️ 🚧

Remember today is FREE hat day honoring our Veterans! We are thankful for their service and PROUD to be Americans! ❤️🫶🏽🐲🇺🇸🪖🎖️

Tomorrow is the last day for our food drive! Please help us support local families in our community for the holidays if you can. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. All non-perishable food items are accepted but the list below is food items that are in high demand. Again, the food collected goes directly back to families in our community through Thanksgiving and Operation Christmas food baskets. We are forever grateful for your generosity in helping others in need.

Happy almost November, Dragon Families! We will allow some face paint with costumes tomorrow. It needs to be free of gore or fright and school-appropriate. If it isn't, students will be asked to wash it off. Thank you for helping us keep Halloween at school happy and student-friendly!

🎉 A big THANK YOU to Cash Saver and Front End Manager Carrie Jarvis for selecting and honoring PES’s Teacher of the Month, Mrs. Katrina Wilkins with some amazing class goodies! 🍎👏
Mrs. Wilkins teaches PE at Purcell Elementary and is known for encouraging students to show their best Dragon CARES each week through her “Drago Award” 🐉❤️.
This week, she’s spreading the love by selecting 3 classes — one from each grade — to enjoy the special treats she received! 🍪🎁
We can’t wait to share photos of those winning classes next week! 📸✨
