PHS Academic Team off to a great start. Not surprising considering their history of success! They welcome a new coach this year as Jasmine Quinonez leads the team. They picked up a couple of wins last week and are in action again this Thursday @ Maysville. Schedule copied below.

PHS Softball defeats Bethel tonight 8-0. They move to 13-7 on the season with their 11th win in 12 games. They play @ Little Axe tomorrow night @ 5. Also glad to report we were NOT penalized for Hannah's "horns down" signal!

It wasn't the result we were hoping for Friday but we are extremely proud of our football team, coaches, managers, band, and cheerleaders for all their hard work. A special thanks to our cheer squad for organizing our Pep Rally! On to Lexington this Friday night.

Thank you Senator Jessica Garvin for visiting PHS today and joining our Pep Rally. We appreciate her strong support of our schools. Senator Garvin is pictured with STUCO President Mercer Martin and PHS teachers Cole Sharp and Greg Dillard.



Thanks to Purcell Intermediate and Purcell Elementary for welcoming our PHS football players and cheer this morning. They enjoyed greeting the students. We have a PEP Rally led by our cheer team today @ 1:55 in front of the high school. Parents/ fans are welcome.

PHS Stem students are in the design process for their catapult project. Students will have a final project of a PVC catapult that will launch cornhole bags to try and score. Paul Wollenberg and our STEM program continue to do exciting work at both the JH and HS.





Congratulations KK Eck! She was selected by our faculty as Student of the Month. KK is the daughter of Jeff and Kelly Eck and plays softball and basketball. She is active in STUCO, Spanish Club, and FCA, and chairs the Principal's Student Advisory Council. She plans to attend OU.


Congratulations Adam Edelman for being selected by our faculty as September Student of the Month. Adam is the son of Kraig and Kristi Edelman. He plays football and golf and is active in STUCO, powerlifting, and FCA. His favorite class is Erica Keen's Wildlife Management!


Purcell FFA Officers attended the Central Area COLT Conference this week. It is designed to train students in personal goal setting and leadership development to help guide their chapter through the upcoming year. Our FFA students and Erica Keen are doing some great things!

PHS Softball picks up their 9th straight win with a big home district win over Chandler tonight. Lady Dragons prevail 3-1 with two runs in the bottom of the 6th and some big defensive plays. They are back in action Thursday @ Chickasha. Go Dragons!

PHS Dragon Pride Marching Band preparing for the season. They march for the first time next Friday night and will compete two weeks from tomorrow at the Moore Outdoor Music Festival. Great job band students and instructors David Hilger and Bryson Tuttle. They all work so hard!





We would like to welcome Parker Davidson to Purcell High School. Parker is our new Healthcorp staff member assigned to our campus. Parker is helping in several areas promoting student health and wellness including mental health awareness, anti-vaping and seat belt campaigns.
