I'm a big believer in field trips. Students who take field trips are more likely to engage in learning, find meaning in their learning, and explore new interests. Thanks to art teachers Jon Corea and Lena Blanton for taking students to OU Museum of Art last week. Great experience

Great job Grace Smith and PHS Girl's Golf. Grace placed 6th in the conference tournament Tuesday and was named All-Conference. Go Dragons!

What an honor today to celebrate our '22 PHS Teacher of the Year: Melissa Feroli. Mel is the PHS counselor. She serves many roles throughout the school. However her most important role is helping kids find a path through high school life who need a different path! Way to go Mel!

Dragons Baseball defeats Holdenville 13-3 to pick up another district win. PHS moves to (13-7) overall and (7-2) in district. Dragons face Holdenville tonight @ 5PM @ PHS. Tonight is Little League Night and students get free admission! Go Dragons!

Little League Night Tues, Girls Golf Conference Tourney, Heart of OK Baseball this weekend, Track @ Lindsay and two softball games. Get out and support Dragon athletics. Go Dragons!

Dragons Baseball Little League Night is this Tuesday vs. Holdenville. It will be warm (hopefully) and probably windy (always!) so come out and help us celebrate current and future Dragon Baseballers. Students get in Free!

Congratulations to PHS Basketball Junior Hayden Ice for this big honor. Hayden was named to Region 5 All-District Team. Go Dragons!

Good job PHS Lady Dragons Slowpitch. They defeated Little Axe yesterday 10-8 and lost to #2 ranked North Rock Creek. They will be in action this week Tues @ Norman North and Thursday @ Byng.

Dragons baseball pick up a solid 4-2 win against Mount St. Mary's at the Newcastle Wood Bat Festival. Dragons have played well against tough competition including class 6A Stillwater. Nate Willis pitched a complete game for the win. Dragons play CHA @ 4PM in Newcastle today.

Through completely his own initiative, Senior Dalton Holder, with the help of senior Raleigh Savage, organized a non-partisan voter drive through our Advisory Program. After weeks of organization they registered 35 new and future voters today. That's leadership and I'm proud.

Excited for this upcoming opportunity for our freshmen and sophomores. Thanks to Ms. Feroli for organizing the Reality Check and providing more support and guidance for kids on how to navigate life. These opportunities and our new advisory program are key parts of that vision!

Yesterday our art teacher Jon Corea and his student teacher Lena Blanton accompanied several art students to the USAO Sidewalk Art contest. Our kids had a great experience and we were able to showcase many of our talented artists. We have a great art program @ PHS!

We celebrated National Librarians Day this week. We are grateful to have April Trumbo @ PHS. She is kind, thoughtful, and always willing to help anyone. April performs duties well beyond her job responsibilities. Most importantly she always puts kids first. Thanks April!

One of the best things about working with teenagers is learning their passions. Recently I learned one of our students was a rugby player and plays all over the place. Tavian Engert is a soph at PHS and it was awesome to learn of his love for rugby. He is an awesome young man!

Proud of our Baseball Team. They were in a tight one-run game late with defending state champion and 14-1 Heritage Hall. Unfortunately we came up short but beyond excited about what's happening with our baseball program. Go Dragons! Thankful for Stephanie Knowles and her pics.

Congratulations to Coach Gowens and PHS Boys Golf. Finished 5th yesterday at the Conference Golf tournament. Juniors Brendan Bacon and Brody Galyean were low scorers for PHS. Expect to see this team continue to improve with lots of underclassmen.
Go Dragons!
