Yesterday at our pep assembly we recognized senior Parker Page. Parker is a remarkable young man and exceptional leader in our school. We celebrated Parker's recent Congressional appointment and acceptance to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Additionally, later this spring we will recognize Parker's signing with the Navy Track & Field Team. We are incredibly proud of Parker and his decision to serve his country.

PHS Esports Mario Kart picked up a 2-0 pre-season win over the Tulsa Memorial Chargers this afternoon. Our Mario Kart team consists of Fatima Diaz, Ezra Stell, Brendan O'Donnell, and Gavin Woods. Way to go Dragon Esports
Purcell High School Junior Adylee Jurado was presented with the Good Citizenship Award today by the Sons of the American Revolution before our school wide pep assembly. Adylee was nominated by multiple staff members for her volunteer work this year through NHS and Spanish Club. Adylee also led an anti-vaping campaign in our school. We are extremely proud of Adylee for her commitment to service and helping others. She is a true leader in our building.

HUGE Wins for our Dragons Basketball Teams against Comanche on Tuesday!
The Lady Dragons dominated with a final score of 60-30, and the Dragons followed suit with a 58-36 victory!
It was a fantastic night filled with Dragon pride, thanks to our amazing basketball teams, cheerleaders, drumline, and our very own Dragon mascot! 👏

Our Dragon Brew student start-up recently sold coffee and treats at the Purcell Elementary. Thank you Principal Cindy Stone and staff for welcoming our students. Between their job at the elementary and their booth at the tournament, they had a profitable week.

Purcell Esports is back in action! Our teams are competing in Mario Kart, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
This week, during the preseason, Dragon Smash Red (Braeden, Ezra, and Selena) earned a 3-1 victory against the Jacksonville High School Titans from Arkansas. Meanwhile, our Mario Kart team (AJ, Ezra, Fatima, and Gavin) raced to victory against the Central High School Yellow Jackets!
The regular season will start in just two weeks!
This week the Ag 1 class studied Food Science learning about food safety, processing and marketing. We had a salsa making contest to end the unit. I hope they bring some salsa by the front office!
