🎉 Purcell FFA showing their strength at the State CDE Contests! 🎉 My sincere apologies for missing this amazing announcement last week. We are very proud of these talented students for these accomplishments! Huge congratulations to our Livestock Team for their 10th place finish! 🐴🐄 Special shoutout to team members Chase Anderson, Jaxson Staggs, Kaden Pliler, and Carli Thomas! Incredible individual performances from Jaxson, placing 16th Overall, and Chase, placing 19th Overall out of 200 students! 🏆 We also want to recognize our Vet Science Team members: Kyleigh Green, Savannah Mauzerall, and Kylee Barrett for their hard work and dedication! 🐾 And a great job to Hudson Andrews for representing Purcell in the Turf Grass Management CDE!

This is a fantastic accomplishment, especially considering this program typically selects around 20 seniors from across the entire state for the Class of 2026. The Purcell High School chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) hosted a fun and engaging event last week at the Reimer Center. The evening provided students with an opportunity for connection and community. We would like to recognize the efforts of seniors Hudson Andrews and Kaleb Bailey, whose leadership has been instrumental in the growth of the FCA club and in providing students with more opportunities to connect with other. Healthy and strong student clubs and organizations are a HUGE part of a successful high school. I appreciate their efforts. The school also extends its appreciation to sponsors Kurt Gray and Toney Cooper for their support over the last few years.

Mili is the daughter of Ashley Cannon, Adam Cannon, and Moses Antonio. She's an active member of Cheer, Spanish Club, Youth Coalition, and NHS. She is a 4 Year Letter P recipient and consistently on the Superintendent's Honor Roll Beyond academics, Lily is deeply involved in our Dragon family as an active member of the Band and the Captain of our Color Guard. Her favorite class is Botany with Mr. Samford🌱 Looking ahead, Lily will be heading to OU to pursue her passion for meteorology. Tonight's scheduled PHS Choir presentation of One-Hit Wonders has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 1, 7:30 PM at the Purcell Administration building due to predicted severe weather this evening.
