What a fantastic start for Purcell Dragons Basketball at the Madill Winter Tournament! Our Varsity teams kicked off the tournament with two huge victories!

The Lady Dragons started their tournament run strong, defeating Era, TX, with a commanding score of 49-22!

The Dragons followed suit, fighting hard and taking down the Durant Lions with a decisive win, 53-40!

We are celebrating our student lunchtime soccer stars who play daily pick-up games on our front lawn (and sometimes even early mornings!) 🤩
They used to rely on book bags and cones for makeshift goals, but thanks to an anonymous donor, they now have awesome portable goals! 🙌

The Purcell Dragons High School basketball game originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd @ Marlow has been postponed! This is due to Marlow's continued success in the football playoffs.

Incredible work by Purcell Aviation students designing and wind-tunnel testing 3D-printed airfoils with instructor Corryn Breidinger! This program is a career pathways connecting students to Oklahoma's fast-growing aeronautics industry. This is also part of new graduation requirements that will go into effect for the Class of 2030 (current 8th graders)!

First up, we created a "polymer worm"! It was so weird and fascinating to watch it form right before our eyes. Definitely not your average earthworm! 🐛
Then, we got our hands (literally!) into making some super stretchy polymer slime! This classic experiment showed us how quickly a liquid can turn into a thick, moldable solid.
Finally, we made some instant polymer snow! Just add water and BAM—it puffs up into fluffy, snowy goodness. It’s like a winter miracle, even in the lab! ❄️
In a nutshell, polymers are just giant chains of molecules (think of them like tiny LEGO blocks linked together), and depending on how you link them up, you get totally different and cool materials! Science is awesome!
