Academic Team competed at OSSAA Academic Bowl Districts yesterday, and won both rounds against Washington and Lindsay. They are now District Champs and 14-2 as they head to the Conference Tournament on November 2nd and Regionals on November 11th. #phsdragons

Thank you Purcell Animal Welfare for helping PHS Students Katlynn Tamez and Brookelynn Walters rescue a kitten trapped in one of our AC units Friday. The students found the kitten after hearing the crying outside the building. Our maintenance employee Toney Haley assisted the rescue by taking apart the unit. We love our animals at PHS! (the kitten did not wish to be photographed!)



Dragon success continues this week! This is a big one for those of you not familiar with FFA competitions. Our Purcell FFA Team 1 placed 2nd overall (out of 74 teams) at the Livestock Judging Competition at the Tulsa State Fair! Chase Anderson placed 10th overall Individual and Carter Thomas placed 12th overall Individual. I will share more pictures soon. Great job PHS FFA and Erica Keen!

Academic Team won 3 more games last night, lead by Captains and Seniors Rose & Noah. They are now 12-2, and headed to Districts on Monday @Lindsay.


The Lady Dragons are going to STATE! They finished their suspended game tonight and won 2-1 to a very tough Plainview team. Congratulations to all the girls, Coach Raper, and Coach Jones. Information for state will come out next week! Go Dragons!!


The conclusion of the Super Regional game from yesterday has now been pushed back to 6pm due to field conditions. Fans who purchased a ticket from yesterday will not have to purchase one for today. Streaming of the game will be available through the NFHS Network. Go Dragons!

Purcell Esports competed in Super Smash Bros on Wednesday. Purcell had three teams compete. They played teams from Depew, Sallisaw, and Ada.
The team of Aidan Blankenship, Lj Harmon, and David Carrillo made an incredible comeback to win 3-2.
A huge thanks to Bryce Tuck, Dragon Alum '20, who has provided technical support to the team as part of a college class. Thanks for giving back Bryce!

Thanks to a generous donation from the Purcell Public Schools Foundation our high school life skills class is starting a mobile coffee cart business known as the "Dragon Brew." They will sell coffee and hot chocolate throughout the school and eventually in other buildings. This is part of our growing school to work transition program. This program allows students to attain and implement practical skills to assist their transition to adulthood. Purcell art students & instructor Jon Corea competed in the 2nd Annual Lexington Chalk Art contest. Purcell won 3 of the 4 competitions including best in show.

Today's super regional softball game has been postponed. We are scheduled to start at 3pm tomorrow. Further communication will come out if field conditions require any delays.

Due to travel issues with Plainview, the softball game has been pushed back to start at 1:30.

The Lady Dragons split yesterday in the first two games of Super Regionals. Great crowd last night cheering on our girls. Huge thank you to the PHS band for coming out and playing the National Anthem. Today's game has been moved to 1 PM due to potential of rain the evening.
