
Gracie Pruitt: PHS Student of the Month!
Gracie is the daughter of Melissa & Jason Pruitt. She is a captain of the Cheer squad, Senior Class Vice-President, State Qualifier in track, active in FCA and a NHS officer. She is a 3X Letter P Award Winner, Girls State Senator, Johnson O'Malley award recipient, Superintendent's Honor Roll, and member of Oklahoma Honor Society. Her favorite class is Calculus with Michael O'Neal. She plans to attend UCO to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine. #phsdragons


Hannah Shea: PHS Student of the Month!
Hannah is the daughter of Catherine Shea & Everett Shea. She is involved in NHS, Interns @ First United Bank, and is a long-time football & powerlifting manager. Her honors include Superintendent's Honor Roll & Letter P Award winner. Her favorite classes are Environmental Science with Ray Samford & History with Kurt Gray. She plans to attend OU for a degree in Environmental Engineering and would like to help the environment. #phsdragons


FEMA, in conjunction with other agencies, will conduct a test at 1:20 p.m. on October 4, 2023, on the nation's emergency alert system. This is a nationwide test. This test will alert on cell phones (if your cellular provider is participating), televisions, and radios. No action is needed or required for this alert. Should the test be delayed, then the backup date for the alert test is October 11th. More information can be found at the link below.

Great night for football. The JV team went to Lindsay tonight. They fell just short, 14-8, in a tough fought game.

Our new Dragon Esports Team made history this week by defeating Marietta 3-1. This marked the first win in program history. Our players were so excited. Coach Kelton Clary is pictured below introducing the team at the pep rally. David Hilger and Bryce Tuck are assistant coaches.


PHS Academic Team continue their winning streak by going 3-0 at Washington on Thursday. They move to 9-2 on the season! They are preparing for Districts in 2 weeks. Great job Dragons and Coach Jasmine Quinonez. #phsdragons


Purcell Boy's Cross-Country finished 6th overall this week at the Newcastle 5K just missing a top 5 finish. Freshman Jayden Polk turned in a phenomenal performance finishing runner-up overall!! He finished with a time of 17.22. #phsdragons

The Lady Dragons had a 10-3 WIN over Perkins-Tyron today. They will be back at it again tomorrow to face the winner of Game 3 at 2:00. One more win and they will be Regional Champions. Tickets are available through GoFan. Go Dragons!

FFA excelled last week at the Oklahoma State Fair. This included several awards at the Oklahoma State Livestock Judging Contest. Including a 1ST PLACE Finish for the JR team: Carli Thomas, Chase Anderson, Jaxson Staggs, and Carter Thomas. This is a huge achievement and I'm very excited to see new team members taking part this year! Great job Erica Keen and our FFA program!

Such an exciting day as we kicked off the inaugural season of Dragon Esports. Our team competed against teams from Austin, Texas and Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was amazing seeing students collaborate and coordinate strategy and build their technical skills. Esports offers so much more than just gaming. A huge thanks to coaches Kelton Clary, David Hilger, and Bryce Tuck. Uniforms are coming and we are excited about the progress of this new program! #phsdragons
