Custodians do so much more than keep our building clean and presentable. They open and close our buildings, raise and lower our flags, keep our schools secure, respond to countless spills, and support and serve our students. Thank you PHS Custodians: Steve Massey and Helen Reed

Learning Shakespeare can be a fun adventure! Jasmine Quinonez and her Honors English class reenacted scenes from Romeo and Juliet while learning complex themes and analyzing Shakespearean dialogue. Please note the swords were made of styrofoam. #oklaed

We want to recognize the work of Irma Calixto who serves as an EL teacher at both the Junior High and High School. We appreciate her support of her students. Irma is great at setting high expectations for her students while offering a caring and supportive learning environment!

Happy Assistant Principal's week to Rick Hammer. Rick also serves as our district athletic director. Being an assistant principal can be a thankless job but Rick is dedicated to serving students and staff. He focuses on relationships and also performs a solid Hammer Time dance!

Alexis Wenthold and Carter Goldston were recently interviewed on a TSET podcast about the sneaky tactics tobacco companies use to sell their products to teens. I've linked the podcast. They both appear at the 11:30 mark and speak on the influences that draw teens to vaping use. I'm very proud of both students!
