Thanks to the leadership of several of our teachers and staff, several students have started a business selling coffee and hot chocolate at school to staff and students. They applied for and were awarded a generous grant from the Purcell Public Schools Foundation. "Dragon Brew" celebrated opening day today and the lines were long! This is such a wonderful opportunity for many of our students to build real-life skills and become a larger part of the overall school community. It supports the inclusion of ALL students in our school through increased interactions with peers and staff. Great stuff!

Opportunity for 9-12 Chickasaw students.

Last week Jenny Allen-Price, PHS English & special education teacher, & Dan Smith, PHS paraprofessional, took their kids on a field trip to visit the Outsiders Museum in Tulsa Oklahoma. The students have been reading the famous book by S.E. HInton that's based in Oklahoma. The book became a famous movie that was filmed in Tulsa in 1983. It was amazing for me to hear from the students how much they enjoyed the experience. I was grateful as well to Ms. Allen-Price for planning a trip for students who don't normally have these opportunities. Well done Jenny & Dan!
