We are honored to recognize Zoe Swift this morning as Purcell High School Teacher of the Year. Zoe is a special education teacher. She previously served the district as a High School English teacher and elementary teacher. Zoe is a proud graduate of Purcell High.
Zoe embodies all the qualities of someone dedicated to the service of others. She is kind, patient, compassionate, and genuinely invests in the lives of her kids. She is creative and constantly searching for new ideas and opportunities to provide her students meaningful learning experiences. Zoe is a great teacher because she teaches with kindness and love and values relationships with both her students and colleagues.
I know all of our staff would agree that Zoe is a true blessing to the lives of everyone she encounters. The teacher of the year award is a celebration of teachers. Zoe represents all the good our teachers, teacher assistants, secretaries, custodians, coaches, and counselors do throughout our school every day.
Zoe is pictured with her two of her girls, several of her students she serves everyday, and our PHS special education department. #dragonpride #oklaed
