Varsity Girls Final

Great job PHS Academic Team!
They played 8 games yesterday, and after a close loss to Tuttle, finished 2nd place in the Conference Tournament (2nd out of 12 schools within the conference!). They did great! Watch out for this team in the future...

What a fun event last night as basketball previewed upcoming season. I enjoyed most seeing so many young kids attending and participating. The following individuals deserve recognition: Rick Hammer, Sarah Jones, Char Page, Cara Simonton, Roger Raper, Toney Cooper, and Kyle Shaw.

Krysta Matthews: PHS Staff Member of the Month! Krysta is our Algebra II teacher but also teaches alternative education, sponsors STUCO, started our new and exciting leadership program, and coaches tennis!! She devotes so much of her time and energy to make PHS a better place!

Should be an exciting basketball season for PHS this year. Both Dragons and Lady Dragons have high expectations for strong seasons. Come meet all the players and coaches.

Order your Purcell hoodies/long sleeves or tees, name on back optional, this week and get them by Christmas! Support the PHS Tennis program. Contact Coach Krysta Matthews or the hs office for orders.

It's an office makeover at PHS. Stefanie Renfro's Interior Design class asked for some hands-on learning opportunities and we gave them several offices in serious need of a makeover. They have been planning, measuring, designing, and obtaining resources. The remodel begins!

A special thanks to the Purcell High School National Honor Society students for their efforts in hosting a moving tribute to our nation's veterans last week at the Purcell High School Veterans Day Assembly. They represented well the values of service and leadership. Well done!
