Candy Tuck: Purcell Public Schools District Support Personnel of the Year. Kind, Compassionate, Cheerful, Fun, Caring, Dedicated, Face of the school. They all describe Candy. As a principal I'm most grateful for Candy because it's hard for people to stay mad while waiting for a meeting, after spending a few minutes with Candy!! She is the best!

Junior Avery Miller was selected to be a state officer for SkillsUSA Oklahoma at the state conference last week. Avery also placed first in her leadership presentation and competition. She will represent Purcell High School and Mid-America Tech well in the 2022-23 school year.

Congratulations PHS's own Samantha Schafer. Her team won the gold medal at the recent Special Olympics State Competition. We are so proud of you Sam! Go Dragons!!!

Congratulations to our final PHS Students of the Month for 21-22: Rosie Venegas and Tegan Ballard. Rosie is the daughter of Jacinto Jr. and Rachel Venegas. She is co-captain of the the color guard and interns with Pinot's Palette art studio. She is a member of the Class 2A Band State Champions. She is a 3 year Letter P Award Winner and her favorite class is Adulting because Zoe Swift is her favorite teacher. she plans to attend OU and major in Chemistry with plans to become a pharmacist. Tegan Ballard is the daughter of Joe Ballard and Leah Fishburn. Her favorite class is Art and she was honored by the faculty as a PHS Student of the Month. She plans to begin working immediately following graduation. Both Rosie and Tegan are very talented artists and recently completed a new Dragon mural for Purcell Elementary School. Go Dragons!

PHS Baseball Regionals moved back to Friday and will be held at Oklahoma Christian University. Games return to OCS on Saturday. Come out and support this team including a great group of seniors! Purcell High School Academic Awards Assembly is one of my favorite events of the year. A wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work of many students and their commitment to academic excellence. Pictured below are our Oklahoma Academic Scholars. This distinguished award requires a cumulative 3.7 G.P.A or higher and achieve a minimum 27 composite ACT score. Grace Smith, Raleigh Savage, Alyssa Rogers, Dalton Holder, and Hailey Carpenter.
