I made a mistake on my earlier posting on the time for Veterans Day Assembly. The assembly is at 11AM on Thursday, November 9th. Please join us as we recognize and honor our Veterans both past and present. Performances by PHS Band & Choir. Sponsored by PHS National Honor Society.
Tomorrow, our cheer squad is putting on a school and community gameday performance before they go to regionals on Saturday. The performance will be at 1:10 pm in the high school gym.
Gameday Regionals will be on Saturday at Jay High School. The address is 468 East Monroe St. Jay, OK. Performance is at 2:20 pm. Please arrive early to find seating. Attached is the QR code to purchase general admission tickets for regionals. It is $7, and cash is NOT accepted at the door.
Any type of device that plays music, sounds, voices, and noise makers of any kind (such as air horns, cow bells, etc) will not be allowed. This also applies to pre and post contest activities. Banners, emblems, and placards will also NOT be allowed.

Basketball Homecoming will be January 12th and with all the holidays, PHS StuCo is selling Basketball homecoming shirts open now! Here is the link for online ordering and the order form. Last week Jenny Allen-Price, PHS English & special education teacher, & Dan Smith, PHS paraprofessional, took their kids on a field trip to visit the Outsiders Museum in Tulsa Oklahoma. The students have been reading the famous book by S.E. HInton that's based in Oklahoma. The book became a famous movie that was filmed in Tulsa in 1983. It was amazing for me to hear from the students how much they enjoyed the experience. I was grateful as well to Ms. Allen-Price for planning a trip for students who don't normally have these opportunities. Well done Jenny & Dan!

Dragon Alums Giving Back
Yesterday the PHS Cross-Country Boys placed 14th in the State Championships. Freshman Jayden Polk finished 10th overall and made All-State and set a new PR with a time of 16:28. That time is only 9 seconds off Kyle Ginn's school record of 16:19. That record was set in 2020 and Kyle continues his Cross-Country career at Roger's State University. The part I love about this story is that Kyle came to support Jayden and the entire team yesterday offering them all support and encouragement. That's a true Dragon right there! Congratulations Kyle Ginn and thank you for representing your school and community with pride!

Dragon Football improved to 7-2 & 5-1 (district) with 42-14 win over Little Axe Thursday. The Dragons will wrap up regular season Fri @ Comanche. Thank you Band (loved the new Ghostbusters rendition) and Cheer celebrated jersey night! One more week til the playoffs! #phsdragons
Congratulations PHS Boys Cross-Country! They finished 14th overall today at the OSSAA 4A State Championships. Freshman Jayden Polk finished 10th overall to qualify for All-State! Erick Suarez finished 61st. Carlos Pacheco 99th, Josh Hamilton 130th, and Landon Brown 140th. Caesar Suarez and Fernando Resendiz also completed. 5 out of 7 runners established Personal Records. Tremendous job all runners, managers, and Coaches Ray Samford & Josh Beal

Today, we celebrated the Boys Cross Country team and their accomplishment of making it to the State Cross Country Meet. The team will be running at Edmond Santa Fe tomorrow at 12:15. Please see the attached picture regarding tomorrow's send off. Go Dragons!
Spanish Club met this week and learned about Hispanic traditions and Dia de los muertos. Mayra Munoz, PHS Spanish Teacher, provides students from all backgrounds an opportunity to gather, enjoy fellowship, have fun, and learn new things. Great work Mayra and students.#phsdragons
