We would like to recognize and celebrate Sara Nichols, our District Student Advocate! Mrs. Nichols works with our students helping them with social skills, impulse control, emotional regulation, and coping skills. She does so much to help our students, and we appreciate her service!


This is National School Counselor Week. We are celebrating our awesome counselor, Ms. Wells-Norman. Her love and passion for serving all students, parents and staff has no end! We are thankful and grateful for all she does at Purcell Intermediate! Thank you, Ms. Wells-Norman!!!

Purcell Public Schools will have a traditional snow day on Friday, February 4th due to inclement weather. All activities are canceled. Stay tuned for further communication regarding new date for basketball homecoming. Stay safe and warm!
Internet providers in our area have reported issues with services. If your family has experienced interruptions today, your student will have the opportunity to address any unfinished assignments. In light of the connection issues, Thursday, February 3rd will be counted as a snow day. Information regarding Friday will be communicated as soon as possible. Stay safe and warm!

Due to the forecast of inclement weather from the National Weather Service, Purcell Public Schools will be virtual on Wednesday, February 2nd, and Thursday, February 3rd. Congratulations to our Purcell Intermediate Academic Team! They were named Runner-Up in the Fifth Grade Academic Bowl Alpha Tournament. We are super proud of this team! The 4th grade Music Program that was scheduled for next Tuesday, January 25th, has been postponed to Monday, February 21st. The venue (Administration Building) and times (1:30 PM and 6:30 PM) will remain the same.

The student’s meal distribution plan will be a drive thru pick up at Purcell Elementary (809 N 9th Ave) starting at 12:00PM - 2:00PM on Thursday January 13th. This will include breakfast and lunch for Thursday and Friday as well as the three supper meals.

Purcell Intermediate will be distance learning this Thursday and Friday. Teachers will message you about their Google meet times and schoolwork.
COVID tests for Purcell School students & staff will be offered Thursday, January 13 from 8am-9am & 12:30pm-1:30pm. Testing kits are in short supply. Only those with symptoms will be tested until the supply is exhausted. Testing takes place in front of the admin building.
