Dru Smith has served on the Purcell Board of Education since 2017. Mr. Smith has been an advocate for the district in all aspects. Dru has a servant heart and does so many things to help, promote, and serve Purcell PS. Thank you for all do!


Purcell High School has done a tremendous job working with our community to secure internship opportunities for our students. Thank you to Mr. Sanders, Mrs. Feroli and Mrs. Findley for providing this for our students.
Kagan Davis shared her experience with the Board at the March meeting. She discussed how the internship program started her on her career path of selling horse insurance. Congratulations to Kagan and the 35 other students who participate in the intern program.

Purcell Public School JOM program will host an Indian Parent Committee meeting March 1 at 6 pm in the administration building. The meeting is open to the public. Agenda will address spring activities and tasks for the Committee.

Pucell Public Schools will be closed Friday, February 25th due to slick conditions caused by the inclement weather. If there are any changes to the playoff basketball schedule or state wrestling schedule, we will communicate it as soon as we know.

Internet providers in our area have reported issues with services. If your family has experienced interruptions today, your student will have the opportunity to address any unfinished assignments. In light of the connection issues, Thursday, February 3rd will be counted as a snow day. Information regarding Friday will be communicated as soon as possible. Stay safe and warm!

Due to the forecast of inclement weather from the National Weather Service, Purcell Public Schools will be virtual on Wednesday, February 2nd, and Thursday, February 3rd. Students are expected to complete instructions provided by their classroom teachers to be counted present. Conditions will be monitored for Friday, February 4th. Stay safe and warm!


The Oklahoma State Department of Health has issued additional COVID-19 tests to the district. Student appointments are available beginning today by contacting your child's school at 405-442-0099. Continuing to practice mitigation strategies will help slow the transmission of COVID-19.

The application for Chickasaw Honor Club is due Friday, February 1st. This is for Chickasaw citizens only. Students can be rewarded for grade incentive, perfect attendance and/or outstanding achievement. Follow the link below for more information.
