Last night we got to pass out two blue All State Jackets! Savanna Edwards was awarded the blue after her four years of work on the softball field. Jayden was awarded his jacket for a top 10 finish in this years state cross country meet. Congratulations to both of you on your accomplishment of earning your All State Jacket!

Last night, we celebrated our two student athletes of the Month, Mackenzie McKay and Jayden Polk. Mackenzie is a member of the softball team, and Jayden is a member of cross country, basketball, and track. Congratulations to both Mackenzie and Jayden.

PHS Staff of the Month: Amber Findley. Amber teaches senior English, is our senior sponsor, and is our Internship coordinator. She is pictured with two of her current seniors. Read a tribute from one of her colleagues:
Findley is a great example of Dragons First. She makes not only students, but colleagues, feel as though they have a voice, and gives them a chance to be heard and considered. She is a great advocate for staff and students alike, and is one of the most honest and open people I have had the opportunity to work with. She is an awesome leader and educator.

Yesterday Spanish Club Officers delivered coats to Purcell Elementary and Intermediate schools for our Little Dragons! Spanish Club and sponsor Mayra Munoz work hard throughout the year raising money which they use to support needy causes throughout the community. You would be surprised how many different areas they have impacted. I'm very proud of this group.

Last night, we had our home opener for our varsity basketball teams. Girls beat the panthers 61-37 with a great team effort. The boys fell just short 42-40, in a very tough, physical game. Next game is Friday December 15th. It will be home vs Comanche. There will be no girls JV game. Boys JV will start at 5. Girls varsity at 6 and boys following the girls game.
