Purcell Intermediate is a part of a program called Healthy Schools Oklahoma (HSOK). HSOK was established in 1997 to promote health and wellness in Oklahoma schools. They have 5 focus areas, physical activity, nutrition, oral health, tobacco awareness and injury prevention. The March Madness Step Challenge Winners attended the Heart of Oklahoma baseball tournament today! They got to see the Dragons defeat the Wayne Bulldogs 8-0! Thank you to our booster club for providing snacks and drinks to our kiddos! The winners included Mrs. Larman’s 5th grade class, Mrs. Estrada’s 4th grade class, and Ms. Greenlee’s 3rd grade class.
Congratulations to Mrs. Larman’s fifth grade mathematicians!!! These students showed the MOST growth on the MAPS MATH test.

Her love and passion for teaching and learning are outstanding! Mrs. Mac has a servant’s heart, making herself available for any assignment, student, staff and/or parent.

Last week we kicked off our March Madness Step Challenge! Students track their steps using pedometers provided by Healthy Schools Oklahoma. Each day, we calculate the average steps for their homeroom class, and we will keep a running total throughout the month of March!
