It’s a busy week for our 7th/8th grade girls and boys basketball teams as they kick off the season with The Canadian Valley Conference Tournament, that started Monday night. The girls tournament is being held in The Reimer Center and Boney Matthews Field-house. The boys tournament is hosted in Marlow. It was a winning night for all four squads Monday! Girls will play tonight, Tuesday, against Lindsay starting with the 7th grade at 6:30 with 8th grade following in the Reimer Center. 7th boys will play at 4:30 and 8th boys at 6:45. The combined Purcell JH and HS choirs will present their Country Comedy Hour tomorrow, Nov. 6th at 3:00 in the auditorium at the old JH. Admission is $5 for adults and students are free. Be ready to sing along to some country music and laugh at some country humor. Doors open at 2:30PM. Come join us!

Flu shots tomorrow! The Chickasaw Nation Health Department will be at the JH from 9-11 AM offering free flu shots for all staff and students. Students must have a signed consent form to receive an immunization. Forms are available in the office and were emailed out yesterday.

It was a successful Tuesday for our PJH athletes. Softball had a big 13-9 WIN on the road against Vanoss. Kendra Anderson leading the day going 2-3 with 3 RBI’s and striking out 5 in the circle. Our boys and girls cross country teams went to the Marlow Cross Country Meet. We had 7 boys and 2 girls medal in the top 25. Boys team got 2nd overall and Jayden Polk placed 2nd in the 8th & 9th division running a 5.47 mile! GREAT JOB to all athletes and coaches!!

Successful Tuesday! The first Battle of the Bridge of the year goes to our Purcell Lady Dragons with a WIN over Lexington 9-1! The first Cross Country meet of the season and we had 5 JH runners place top 20! Great job athletes and coaches!

This week at PJH… our Lady Dragons softball team are continuing to show growth and improvement after a tough loss to Little Axe Monday night. Today we have our first Cross Country meet of the season, here in Purcell starting at 4:30.
